New member looking for advice

Hey Paul, so I am 17 and I have a chevy cobalt lt. I have convinced my parents that I need a new car before college and the one I want in a 2014 mustang gt. Now my dad is fine with it but I am having some trouble convincing my mom. I was wondering if you had any tips for me. Thanks!

o A faster car means you get to see her sooner when you're going to see her;
o it's better that you get the car instead of your dad going through a midlife crisis and getting a new car (or girlfriend);
o newer cars have better safety technology;
o girls like Stangs, so you will get a girlfriend/girlfriends, & she will get grandkids while she's young;
...that's all i got right now
