Default IM readiness

Hi, I have a 1996 Mustang GT. I stored it for a while, now want to register it again which in CA entails an emissions check. It's running great.

It's saying "EGR INC" on an OBDII reader so I can't even take it to be tested. So far I have tested the EGR valve, it was fine so I replaced the EGR solenoid. Then I drove for 50 miles x 2. Still INC.

Help! I am stuck.

Thanks

Richard

Did you have to jump start it or replace the battery before it started after you got it out of storage? If you did, the ECM lost all stored data and it usually takes a couple hundred miles for all systems to be smog ready unless you perform a complete drive cycle. http://www.obdii.com/drivecycleford.html

If it still isn't ready after that then you have a leak somewhere.
