So a couple of weeks ago I bought an 04 Mustang Competition Orange car my wife has wanted for ages. The body was decent I knew there was rust on the rear fend by the wheel, but then I looked in the trunk the other day the trunk pan is rusted on both sides by the spare tire, which leads to rust above the gas tank and to the frame rails. The shock towers are still not rusted and have the Original paint even but from the back is a nightmare. I know at this point I should be looking for a roller, but I have had no luck finding a Competition Orange care and I do not have the heart to tell my wife about the nightmare that is her dream car. Seeing as its only the back area is it possible to fix this. Pictures below.
