Temp gauge

Default Temp gauge

My temp gauge is pinned on red soon as i turn key on i have changed coolant sensor and nothing all fuses are good im lost
i do have aftermarket gauges so realy i dont need it but it wont stop beeping cause its pinned on hot its anoying

oh and its a 2000 mustang 3.8 - 302 swap using all factory sending units/ sensors

Did you use the 302 sending unit or the v6 one? Maybe they read different

I used 3.8 temp and oil pressure sending units so factory cluster would work.
right now everything works except temp witch is pinned with key on and the tach from some reasearch i need a tach adapter

It looks like the sensors are slightly different, I wonder if mounting it in a 302 is giving you a weird reading. Maybe see if a 302 unit will give you the correct reading?

I could but i wonder what year would have a 2 wire,84 only has a single wire unit

I'm pretty sure my 94 is only a single wire as well, I don't know when they switched.

I figured i would update
i fixed problem i had a broken wire in harness fixed it now all is good
