PLEASE HELP, BLOWING FUSES
I have a 94 mustang with convertible top. Had top and top motor replaced. Ever since then, every time I turn the key on, it blows the fuse that controls the reverse lights, signal lights, and convertible top. All same fuse. Question is, how do I trace the problem, or just disconnect the top motor? Because I’m convinced that’s where the issue is. I don’t know how to disconnect it without removing the fuse, which will still leave my issue of not having signal lights. Please help. And I do not have any special tools, sooo, looking for a easy temporary fix. NOTE: One day I was able to get the fuse to last long enough to get the top down, had to aluminum foil the fuse to get it to close, when I did that, it started smoking from under the dash on the passenger side. Thank you in advance.
put a bigger fuse in there. Whichever wire starts smoking first the problem, or at least pointing to it.
But yeah, sounds like you have a short to ground. Whether it is a wire, or that new part you had put on. You could try unplugging the new part and see if it stops popping the fuses.
