Default Remove & Replace Timing Chain and Gear Set

I need some advice here. I have a timing issue with my Mustang and all the sensors are checking out I guess even though the first one show to be a camshaft sensor. After $200 the diagnostics this is the estimate I am getting. Just to to check the timing chain(s) (R & R Valve Cover Gasket For Timing Chain Alignment Verification) they’re asking around $708.00. They stated they had to remove the valve cover gaskets to check it. Then just to get even there and look I will pay close to a $1000. I guess diagnostics do not tell you that. Once they get in there then if the timing chain and gears need replaced They are asking another $4200.00. Basically I I have to pay over $1000 just to find out if they’re gonna want another $4200 to replace the chain. I will not put over $5000 in the car to fix it number one and number two I don’t get why it’s costing me over $1000 just to find out if that’s what’s needed. I have the itemized estimate if anyone could help. I am new to checking in these forums.

Sorry, I have never done this before or posted in one of these. I resent my original message by accident as well.
