Hello All!
Super excited to be a part of the Mustang community. I grew up in the Dayton Ohio area where my dad had a garage in Germantown called "That Car Place". He was pretty well known for his custom paint jobs when i was young. So needless to say I pretty much grew up in that garage expecially when i was in trouble which I was quite a bit as a teenager. I moved to the Columbus Ohio area when I turned 18. i do like the Columbus area, people are much nicer here than the Dayton area.
I spent about 16 years in the residential title business and 1 in Commercial then I decided I couldn't spend one more day of life behind a computer all day and after a 2 year mid life crisis I started everything over with myself. From owning a huge house by myself with an inground pool in a nice area to living in a small bedroom at a friends house and all my existence in 10x10 storage.
From 10 hour days staring at computers in horrid florescent lighting. To being a Stagehand for a year, everything from WWE at Nationwide Arena to the 20 semis to unload for Mr. Elton John. Then I thought i had found my perfect job running a garage for a friend who had 2 business and was too busy. Hours were perfect 9-2pm every day, there were 2-8 employees and i had 4 main clients I coordinated with until about 4 years working there issues kept arising and employees were not being paid. Thankfully an opportunity fell upon me i had wanted years and years ago and i decided to take it and let my friend go back to running the garage which was one of the best decisions I think I've made.
I work for a small family owned company that's been in business sense 1978, we are #3 in the country in retail for The Mobile Electronics Industry this year which we are so proud and honored to be a part of! 70% of our employees have worked there over 10-20 years which is amazing considering there's only 32 of us if you include the owners. And I can finally say I love my job, it's challenging and encouraging, my team has become my family.
So my mom bought me this Black 1996 Mustang GT (4.6 manual) back in 2007, she put it in her garage that day where it sat until she got pneumonia about 5-6 years ago she had to move in with me up here in Columbus so I had it towed to my place where it got to sit in my garage for another couple of years. Unfortunately she passed 2 going on 3 years ago unexpectedly. So here I am today with ya'all.
My goal is to get this sucker ready and able to run the route mom used to take me on vacation every year from 5years old to 17 years. Every summer we hit the highway 75 from Ohio with a stop in smokies for a night or 2 then the rest of the week on Daytona beach. Every year she stayed at the same 2 hotels (which yes are still standing) and every year we drove her 1985 Mercury Capri 5.0 which was her dream car also the car I learned to drive in. I wanted to have it ready by her birthday this year she would've been 65 but its looking like that's not going to be possible so I'm now shooting for June/July because August is when we took our vacation and when i would like to take our vacation one last time with the sports car she wanted for me running smoothly and distribute her ashes in the beautiful places she loved to be with her family every year.

Sure
she's been sitting in garages for years and years but of course that's all about to change. Currently she's outside my work waiting to put her new tires on. The existing were completely flat from just sitting so long so i got her a very nice new set to start.
I will take a couple pics when i get back from lunch and post them later today. Keep in mind she has not been detailed yet i will take care of that myself once i get her to run long enough to get inside the garage.

well she is still giving me problems, i have to use starter fluid to get her to start, she will sit and idol fine for a while and sometimes drive around the building depending on her mood of course, but most of the time she just wants to start and might at first then its just cranking and not firing. so far she's got new air filter, battery. new gas and new fuel filter, oh and spark plugs and hoses just put those on too. One thing at a time i guess, i just need her to run good enough to get her inside so i can put the tires on and then home so i can start the other nessesities changing the rest of the fluids for start, but until i'm confident i can start and move her when needed i can't get the tires any ideas what i might be missing? no check engine light so i guess the next nice day i can go try checking if wires have power the fuses seem good on the fuse end anyway.
