Problem with starting
I have a 1968 mustang with a 289 v8 that has not started in 5+ years. I got it from my grandpa, and have been trying my best to get it up and running. The problem is that the engine will turn over, but not start. I started testing stuff, and found that the engine gets gas, but the the spark plugs have no spark. I started to replace stuff to try and find the cause of this. I tested the ignition coil and it gets power, so i believe the issue to be in between the ignition coil and the spark plugs. so far I have replaced the spark plugs, the spark plug wires, the ignition coil, the distributor, and the distributor cap. still no go after all of those. I am getting really frustrated with this, as I am running out of ideas of what to do. I watched a video that said to test the ground wire running from the ignition coil. I tested it, and as far as I could tell the resistance was higher on my wire than the video said was good. (the video said i think 1-1.5 or something and mine was around 5 if i remember correctly.) anyone have any ideas of what to do/replace? any help is super appreciated.
