I just purchased a used 2006 Mustang GT and here is why. In 1964 I got the first mustang in Central Texas through JV Ash Ford Dealership. According to Mr. Ash he received through a drawing of Central Texas Dealers the right to the first car delivered. Mr. Ash was my next-door neighbor and his son already had a T-Bird so he ask me if I was interested I told him that would be great but there was no way I could afford the car his replly was Richard you can afford this car and here is a picture of me getting insurance for the car. So now my first new car was a Mustang 289. and now with the 2006 will probably be my last car even not new. in front of the insurance office with my new 1964 (yes64) Mustang
Welcome, nice 1965 coupe. My first was a 1965 triple black convertible. Turning 71 next week and enjoying my 6th Mustang. When I got my 2107 my wife said "this will probably be your last Mustang". And then replaced it with a 2019 that included performance package a few years later.
Then after a day on the track last year I was telling my wife that the EcoBoost performance package car has no problem in the turns staying with the GT and GT500's, even pulling away a little, but as soon as we hit the straights they were blowing by me. So she said, "get the Shelby then" but I told her I wasn't spending that much on a used car. When the 2024 hit the showrooms she asked me, "does any dealer near us have a 2024 GT in yet" and we started searching. Ended up with my 2024 GT with performance package, magneride, and the "wife required" active exhaust so start up in the morning isn't as loud.
