Default 66 Fastback with Borgeson/Center Link issues…

I have a nice 66 and am currently installing a new 302 stroker. While the motor is out I have installed a Borgeson gearbox kit. I have come to realize that one of the previous owners Installed a 67 Center Link after removing the factory P/S system. The 67 c.l. Has a tapered hole for the passenger side tie rod connection in the reverse direction, so the tie rod was only connected by 3-4 threads on that side. It’s backwards and extremely dangerous.
The 66 Center L. Is very different from the 67 for P/S cars. Does anyone know if I can just go with a 66 manual steering Center Link? The tie rods are the same for both years.
I appreciate your help.
