Locked Glove Box
Good day everyone,
2 days ago, I bought a 2017 Mustang Ecoboost. Real nice car. I'm loving it so much so far. Only problem is, the glove box is locked and I can't get in. From what little research I've done, I learned the key fob back cover comes off and there should be a "key blade" inside. Unfortunately, it is missing. I've tried several flat head screw drivers and other flat blade type tools to unlock it but to no avail. Are these "key blades" keyed for the specific lock? Can't find much information about this but the few pictures I can find, the "key blade" doesn't look keyed and is just a flat piece of metal. I'm thinking of just taking it to a dealer to see if they can unlock it and I'll just leave it unlocked as i really don't care to keep it locked. Anyone with any information on these "key blades"? I did manage to find some for sale online for like 7 bucks but I don't know if it's supposed to be keyed. Any recommended tool that could open this?
Late to the party as this is my first mustang.
Thanks everyone
