Bought my first mustang 4 days ago. A vista Blue GT. I wanted one 40 years ago..but they wouldn;t sell one to a 5 year old. When I was old enough to drive the mustang was a P.O.S.. When they came out with the new one I knew it was time. I don't need to drive it. Just looking at it is enough. But when I do.....the double takes from people are quite satisfying.

Welcome, sounds like you and I waited the same amount of time to get our first Stangs. As far as POS along the way, I think all car makers went through some bad times.

 

held out for 40 years!!! holy crap!!! i couldn't do it, when i was 16 i didn't care what it looked like as long as there was the running pony.
