Default On A Quest

I'm a 19 year old college student in the New England Area. I actually joined the forum because I am planning on doin a Shelby Kit Car from FFR. I want to find out which 5.0L Mustang w/ a 5 speed is best between the yeras of 87 and 93. There are a ton of them around here, all for around 800 or less. I'm sure most of you alreday know this. But all I'd have to keep is the drive train, engine, frame, and suspension. The body gets completely tossed. Gonna be looking for advice on which year to pick and what to watch out for.

uhh it's a unibody so i dont see how you could "ditch" it...but anything from 89-92 is probably best to use.

Apparently I wouldn't need the frame. I'd be using drivetrain, axles, and most of the suspension.

coo-el. that sounds like a wicked project man. problem is the t-5 is weak, so if i was doing a project of this magnitude, i would buy a crate motor and a tremec tranny.
