Default Hello everyone.

[sm=icon_cheers.gif]

I’m new to this forum. (Age wise probably one of the oldest members.)
Not a Mustang owner at this time.
I drive a C6 Z06 but I do love Mustangs. So I’m not here to put them down or claim Corvettes are better. In fact I’m in the market for a Mustang. Unfortunately my budget for a stang is very small. Last year I bought an 88GT vert horrible body condition, engine ran good, no exhaust, trans did not shift too well, real crap. I thought I could fix it up but the title was even screwed up and I could not register it. Car cost me 2800 I spent 600 on exhaust and gave it back to the owner for 2G.
I want something to drive when I’m not driving the Vette or my 4X4. At this time I will only spend 8G or under. Under is better about 5 or 6 would be good. (Need to save money for mods on Vette.) As you can tell I don’t know too much about buying Mustangs. (not too good at writing either) I am thinking of late eighties to early nineties and I know that would be a 5.0. Wondering about future value of 5.0s? Do they keep dropping or will they hold value. Also what should I pay for a decent 88 to 91. Anything special to look for? Are any of the years better than others?

Welcome to the forums and good luck finding a stang.

For that amount you could easily pick up a 94-95 5.0 or even a 96-98 GT. Both can be had for under your budget and you would be saving a bit of money or have mod money for either car. The older Fox bodies I would think would be even cheaper but I do not own one so I will leave that for those guys.

Again, welcome to the forums
