im heading up tonight.



anyone going? i have a 01' GT with the license plate DILO.

im curious to see what i'll run tonight with the 100 shot. OB go up tonight unless you have another doctors appointment.

 

I might be heading up, weather doesnt look so convincing right now. It was sprinklng ealier, i called OB this morning and he said it was raining ( 15 minutes from Drag-way )..... so who knows. Also he said he might be heading up. I will call him at 5 and see whats up. So we might both be comming.

DILo- 13.2 without nitrous? Cause if you can catch traction ( im guessing you have DR's at least ) i would hope to see you pulling very low 2's possibly 11's.... Good luck and i hope to watch you tonight, maybe even take a pic of you running for you.

As for my times on Wed.... best ended up netting me a 14.4. Im used o running 14.0's so with that time im pretty depressed i just have to run a few more times and get used to my launch.

Dajawu, just look at me. i ran a 14.9 with a 2.5 60 ft. and im used to a 14.0..... so i know you can do better.

 

Thanks for the encouragment. I won't be up there tonight as I have school till 10, but I will most likely be there this wendsday. Hope to see you all again and meet some new faces.

 

went down tonight and met ob and dilo for the first time and casper again, makes going to the track alot more fun when you can meet up with fellow forum members, Ob did'nt mean to take off without saying goodbye was just going to get my car and come back where we were waiting for the flat bed but decided to get one more run in. hope you can get your rearend repaired soon, hopefully we can get together again before the season ends.. once again had a good time hanging with you guys

 

Yeah tonight was deff a great night. The track was perfect. Couldnt ask for more. Got a better higher trap speed. Only lost to one person, a Yellow GT ( DILO look-a-like.) With a S/C and he ran 12.1. It was fun, until Kyle broke his left rear axle. Then the tow truck thing, that was the gayness. I hope you got home alright and everything went ok. Finally met DILO. Car looks great btw, and performs good too. I took pics and will upload.

Well didnt get home til about 11:40ish
Waited around because the guy that loaded my **** up wouldnt bring me anywhere.
Had to wait with my car on the back of his truck for some other guy to transfer it to his truck.
And all the while that vette that had the rear end explosion needed a truck as well.
So the original truck'er for me took him and blah blah.
It's a good thing I didnt go with the morgan guy.
There was a cobalt he was trying to load up into his truck and the cable SNAPPED when it was almost fully up the incline.
Sending the car flying backwards, someone had to jump into the window and yank the ebrake.

But then the guy that re-loaded my car into his truck got a call for some jackass that locked his keys in his car up in everett...
SO had to do that first for whatever reason.
No wait, backing up had to go to shell because the cobalt people didnt want morgan people touching his car.
So went to Shell to get money or something for his tow truck fees later on.
Then we went to exeter...
Guy was like.
Ughhghg, we gotta go to exeter.
Said some bs about having to get up for 5am for work tomorrow and theyre all like Ok, i'll drop the price a little.
I said how much?
$70 for the tow.
Said something else how that was kinda bs and whatever.
Got the guys keys and hopped back on 101 and headed to my house
Finally get there and unload my car into the driveway and it cost me a Vunderful 60 bux from Epping to my house
Originally would've cost 85.


But, ran some new best times.
Think I would've kept improving too, but guess I can't find out until I get a new rear now.

Seemed like the tires were just starting to start to hook [&:]
Last "pass" if you want to call it that, of the night I had done my burnout as usual.
Matt n Matt(kinda like Pete n Pete), said the passenger wheel wasnt spinning(afterwards).
And I pull up to the tree thinking I heated the tires good and plenty.
Purged to make sure everything was ok on that end.
Reved to 4000, dumped the clutch and *BANG*
Didnt go anywhere.
Gave it a rev or two to see if i was moving, or could move and just shut it down.
Knew i did something to the drivetrain, and I thought it was the driveshaft.
Oh well, broken driver side axle.
Tire comming out completely.
It was the weakest link in my car and it finally went.
I knew it was going to happen eventually, but it happened now
