i went tonight and lemme say the left lane sucks. i have pulled 1.8's in the right lane and every time i am in the left lane i pull 2.4's every time i don't know why. they only put me in the right lane once since i kept getting called out. one by a lightning which i beat and the other was a truck than ran a 12.3 and the other was a truck that ran a 9.7 at 140 lol. the one time i got in the right lane i pulled out a 12.8 at 109 with a 2.1 60'.

met dajawu for the first time, real cool guy and talked to JPC for a bit who is also an excellent guy to talk to. this was the last night at the track for me til next year unless i make a decision to go up in a few weeks near the end but most likely not. but yeah couldn't hook tonight and the fog was unbelievable especially towards the end. good thing i haven't seen that movie FOG yet or i prolly woulda been freaking out lol.


oh and JPC thanks for offering to take the lil one for a ride in the stang. crazy how ya have to be 18 but thanks anyways.


so how did the rest of you guys do?

 

If any of you remember I did horible my first time to the track cause of my 60'. This time I actually did alright. It seems like my street tires were doing so much better. My best time for the night was a 14.682@96.76 w/ 2.3 60' which is actually a whole second off my best time last time, so I am happy. Still plenty of room for improvment. Casper that is funny, almost embarising lol. If we are talking about the same people my compliments to Jmac.

 

dajawu was that you that pulled up on my left while that 5.0 pulled up in my right side on the way home? i wasn't driving cuz i was too tired but i woulda gave you guys a run or two

 

Last night went well, got a couple of decent runs and one bad one to end the season (wheel hop big time) Went heads up with Dungeon racer in the first run, was waiting for him to get me but he missed a gear, than my second run I cut a 2.09 60' foot with my 225/60/15 yokos street tires which is better than I ever did with my BFG drag radials sitting in my garage, Dilo you must of clicked off a bunch of runs after I talked to you, Did'nt see you Dajawu, probally crossed paths but did'nt reconize each other, I can't stand that burnout comp, takes too much time was in line for an hour waiting for that thing to get over,anyways good talking to dungeon and Dilo and hope to see everyone next year..

 

Dilo that wasn't me, I didn't cross your path going home for sure. After my last race I waited to see if you were around to say goodbye but I didn't see you. I then headed up an exit for gas and food before heading home so I wasnt on the highway for a bit. JPC I didn't see you but I heard you were there, next time... NH I knew you left cause you were no where in site when Dilo showed up, sorry to hear about your runs. I got in a total of 10 runs so I was loving it. I actually enjoyed the traction I was getting. I might go up again before they close because I am starting to get better at my launch. Ohh and that fog was nuts at the end huh?

 

Good to hear about everyone BUT Dicky... lol. That sucks, i tend to stick to the rigth lane... my best times are there.

Yeah, right lane for sure!
That's where I broke samthin! So that's where I stay.
They prep the right side earlier on in the day for the people that rent the track.
So best to stick over there, until the jackasses drive straight through the water box and tread water all the way to the tree.

 

yeah dajawu i wasn't sure if it was you or not. on the way home it seems that everyone and their mother wants to race me on the trip back.


oh and jpc that red mustang with the gauges that was behind me was s/c'd. vortech at 16 psi. trapping at 124 mph and running 12.4. although that was on stock rearend and stock suspension so not much you can do if you can't get the power to the ground yet. i suspect that 99-up will be running real strong next year.
