Competitive Ford in NHRA Pro Stock
Well Jim Cunningham is running a 2008 mustang in pro stock and he is consistently 2 tenths slower than the competition. This is the first ford to be running in pro stock since bob glidden retired so many years ago. He ran a 6.79 at englishtown this past weekend with the best time being a 6.59 and the rest of the field being in the 6.60's. He has a lot of work ahead of him considering ford does not back him one bit.
nah force would have no interest in taking on a pro stocker. I would just love to see ford throw some money his way. I mean he is the only guy that wants to do this. No other ford guy wants to put up this money to do it. It would be nice if they gave him a break. Although from what I heard they recast the E460 heads with better port angles and cant, to help him. but thats not official
yea once again, he was 2 tenths behind the field in ohio. So he has some work to do. I believe in pro stock 2 tenths is seomthing like 80 or so horsepower.
well i didnt see cunningham in the mopar mile high nationals. I assume that he might have been working more and more on motors. anyone have any clue?
