So these not only have to have 3M tape, but also they screw into the body? I see what looks to be 2 really fat bolts in the pic where you're holding it...

These are the same scoops that are on the super snake, california special, and shelby gt's. When installed by Ford they do use the two push pins however they are not neccessary. Most who buy these and install them themselves use only 3m tape with no problems. If you search around you should be able to find several threads regarding this. Thanks

I had these factory scoops on my '06 with 3M tape only, and they were a bitch to pull off, so you're good without drilling holes on these.
