I no longer need this transmission and can't use it for the current upgrade (a blown/stroked V8). Had the transmission (LOW miles) pulled in 2008, sent to Tony at Larry's Transmissions in Corona, CA, for a *serious* upgrade. Should handle 500 RWHP easily. What I was putting through it was around 320-325, estimated. Again, LOW miles on the overall transmission... and maybe only 1000 or so, if that, since the upgrade. Cost me a HUGE chunk of change... but I can't use it now. Also comes with a PA torque converter (3000-3200 stall speed, if I recall). Low, low, low miles, never raced, just occasional "spirited driving." I don't think you will find a better deal than this for this model transmission, with the upgrades, if you have a V6. Serious inquiries only, no "tire kickers" please.

One-piece driveshaft also available, separate price. Make an offer if you buy the transmission.

Are these transmissions only compatible with 4.0 V6 Mustangs? I'm looking to buy a back up 5R55S in case the one in my 2007 GT goes on me (high mileage) but I can't find any info of someone using a v6 5R55S with a 4.6L?

First-hand experience here, too; no, they won't. So again, I have a GREAT deal for someone who CAN use this transmission. Makes me sick that I couldn't use it.
