Default FUN WITH BOOST AND .......

ACTUALLY I JUST NEEDED SOME ADVICE ON TIMING, FMU AND FUEL PRESSURE REGULATORS.
MY QUESTIONS ARE CAN I GET RID OF THE FMU IF I HAVE A ADJUSTABLE FPR. IF SO WHAT PSI SHOULD I START AT. AND WHAT TIMING DEGREE SHOULD BE SAFE. THE CAR ONLY HAS 24 LB INJECTORS WITH A SLIGHTLY PORTED HOLLEY SYSTEMAX II KIT, 75MM BBK THROTTLE BODY, C&L 76MM, FORGED PISTONS WITH TEFLON COATING & GAP LESS RINGS,POWERDYNE 9PSI SUPERCHARGER, BBK LONG TUBES AND H PIPE, AND AFTER CAT FLOWMASTERS. RIGHT NOW THE TIMING IS AT 6 DEGREES AND IT HAS AN FMU. THANKS FOR ANY INFO.

I don't think I would get rid of the FMU with only 24# inj. now if you had 42# I would say OK maybe even 36# with only 9psi but not 24. timing is a real touchy area I would start around 8 and move up from there if you feel the need but do so VERY CAREFULLY. you may also so be able to run more timing if you back up a heat range or two also with the plugs. this will help keep cly. temps down. but the down side is they tend to foul. also if you are gone to move up with the timing be sure to run only the best gas I really don't know how much of a benefit a few degrees of timing is gone to be for you or if it will out way the risk of popping a head gasket or something. Have fun

you can not remove the fmu with just 24# injectors. you need 42# and then you will need a custom tune, you cant tune it with fuel pressure.
most sc engines run 17-21* total timing on premium gas. without an innercooler, you are at the max timing with the base set at 6* that is safe in my opinion. you can try more timing but its an expensive bet to loose.
