Default Catted H or non Catted H

Currently just running magnaflow cat back but want new midpipe, narrowed it down to h pipe but not sure if I should go catless or not. I definately want kinda quiet at cruising, not an obnoxious drone.

I didn't go magnapacks because I knew those would be too crazy loud with an aftermarket h pipe.

input anybody?

edit: I also don't plan for long tube headers due to clearance issues, was probrably gonna do shorty headers as next step after 4:10's.

I have Magnaflow on my cobra with no cat Xpipe. It is louder now. I had the two High Flow cats on it, it was nice. I recommend the High Flow cats (Only two) and you will be fine.

I would recommend an x-pipe with cats (legal reasons). As far as long tube headers are concerned you won't have any clearance problems on an '04 GT.

The combination of long-tube headers, x-pipes, and a cat-back exhaust make for a great sound. I've had mine on my '02 GT (daily driver) for over a year and wouldn't think about changing the setup. (I also have a pair of off-road pipes that I can use instead of the cats - 30 minute swap)

Good luck in whatever you choose to do.

I live in NJ where they actually look under the car to see if you have cats. Like I said I have BOTH cats and off-road pipes which only take about 30 minutes to swap.

CATS? [sm=teetertooter.gif] NO CATS?
