lol...going to school full time as well as working...it's killing me.

anyways, i have never done an install on anything newer than '95....but no it's really ez. i would never pay a shop to do it.

the wet kit is going to take maybe another hour at the most , even screwing around and drinking a couple beers. should take a total of ( and this is the extreme high end...) 4 hours. can be done in 2 hours if your familiar w/ the parts and terminology.

mount your bottle where it needs to be, then adjust where you mount the selonoids from there, it will help take up the extra slack in the nitrous feed line. it's always too long on mustangs.

if your cool w/ basic wiring, and can half-assed read a schematic...your fine. it seems a lot harder than it really is reading the instructions...but it is very basic.

i think i'm gonna get my NOS dry kit installed today. i'm gonna time myself on this one and shooting for 1 1/2 dry kits are really ez.

been putting it off for over a month, but still waiting on my gear guy to get my 4.10's in.

Nitrus scares me.. I remember hearing long ago that it eats up the inside of your motor so I can't bring my self to get it.. I think its safer these days on newer engines but I'm sure it does cause damage..

I love horsepower but I can't bring my self to hurt my baby in that way.. =(

there's really nothing to be scared of. it actually cools the air thats going into your combustion chamber. pretty much they only thing that can cause damage is if you dont get enough fuel in there; but thats why you get a tune

I thought it eats at gaskets and pits metal?

Not that I know of... I haven't heard any problems like that... and for how long it's actually in the cylinders (never any more than a half a second) per stroke, it can't cause any problems.

Edit: It breaks down into oxygen and nitrogen... Oxygen burns with the fuel, that's where the power comes from... and Nitrogen is inert and does nothing.

yes it does, it also causes your ********* to fall off, and if you allow any to come out of the bottle, it manifests into a jewish ninja and goat rapes your girlfriend. after that it will haunt your dreams and cause impotence. there are rare cases of nitrous actually just spontaneously combusting...there was an incident in hiroshima and nagasaki back in the 40's, 2 large explosions believed to have come from a couple of drag racers. it will melt your fuel lines and contaminate your wiper fluid too. there was an instance of a nitrous bottle escaping from a camaro trunk and following other cars w/ it's bright lites on, when they flashed it...he murdered them to get initiated into a gang.

ok sorry.......i had a couple beers....had to bust some ***** for beliving in urban legends

hey sonic...all the new kits are good, they are all the same basically.

nitrous is no more dangerous than a blower or turbo, or NA high compression engine.

it's actually safer and better for 2 reasons.

1. cylinder pressure is only higher for the time you spray it...not all the time.
2. you use a fuel pressure safety switch that cuts off fuel when the pressure falls below a safe range, keeping you from wrecking anything.

anyone who blows up on nitrous, was doing something stupid...guaranteed.

Good info nitrous bob, do most kits come with a fuel pressure safety gauge?
