Flowmasters
Wheres the best place to get a Flowmaster set up. Im thinking Flowmaster 40 series, true dual.... What size tips do I need... and do I need a H or X pipe?? Also - How much does this set up run?
I know there is a Exhaust thread, But theres to many posts and I get confused..
Thanks..

you can get whatever size tips you want. i think a flowmaster catback comes with 3" stainless steel tips, but i might be mistaken. you dont need to get an aftermarket midpipe, and im not sure how it would sound on a V6. i wish i could be more helpful, but im not very familiar with converting a V6 to true duals.
I would go with a h pipe to balance the pressures of each pipe. after i had a true dual done on a 99 v6, the engine shook. i never got around to adding a h pipe to it before i sold it. just my 2 cents.
If I were you, I wouldnt try getting performnace exhaust on a v6. No offense but it just sounds like ***. I would spend that on something that would be more useful. But if you are stick in your ways, then just the flow catback (40's) with an H pipe.
i've heard a .38 special v6 mustang with dual flows and a five speed...and i have to say it sounded pretty damn good for a v6. dunno if there is anything special about them, besides the name... it's the only v6 with exhaust i have heard though. the sound kind of reminds me of a v8 with stock exhaust... and this isn't a statement from a v6 fan...
a buddy of mines had an 2002 mustang v6 5spd. he gutted out all the cats and put a delta 40 series flowmaster on there.. and TALK ABOUT LOUD! when he revved it it sounded relaly nice and smooth. the only negative is that it kinda sounds ricey right around 3500 rpms.
