I drove to work today and all of a sudden my oil pressure needle would spike to 100 and back down to 0 faster than the eye can see it. Then it would stop, then go back up to 100, then spike down to 0. Its just about the speed of the highest windshield wiper speed.

I looked under my car and see no oil drips, and openned the hood to see if anything was spraying to leaking. I found nothing. I have the car sitting out front of my office to see if it leaks anything on the road but my gut feel is that it may be a sender going bad. Any ideas?

I had a mechanical one that would do that when I was low on oil, better check it.
