Default long tube Vs shorties

what is the major advantage of both long tube and shorties. i currently run shorties would there be any reason to switch to a long tube design.

If you have a supercharger or plan on putting a supercharger on your car, then definately go with the long tubes (superchargers love long tubes). The only problem is that the long tubes sometimes drag on the speed bumps. Oh well... gain some, lose some.

You are required to jack up the engine on long tubes, but I think its pretty much nessicarry for shorties as well.

When I was removing my stock manifolds I had a hard/impossible time taking out the drivers side manifold without lifting the engine. It isnt as big a deal as it seems though, just undo 2 bolts and lift.
