Default turbo(s) and the AODE!

Ok im a newbie to Mustangs, I know enough about turbos to get myself into trouble. Which isnt saying much. I am also putting the cart before the pony.(still looking for a Stang)

Basically I need to now how much abuse the AODE will handle. Or should I just look for a 5 speed if I think I might be doing a turbo upgrade.
I really think the AODE / turbo setup would be faster only cause You would be starting out under boost.

Flame away

i dont know how durable stock aode's are, but you would obviously have to get a bigger stall to launch under boost...with a 5 speed, you can launch at whatever rpm you choose

I guess if i get that far I could always look for a beefer auto. with a 5 speed you just bounce the baby off the limiter and let'r fly

Im sure someone has done this with an AODE. Gimme some insights.

Default Hi.

I'd stick with the 5-speed for a few reasons. One, they're just the funnest damn types to drive. And for seconds, you could build boost off the line with it as well. You could invest in a two-step, or rev-limiter. Pretty much hold the clutch down while on the gas, and it'll only go to the rpm's set in it. Pretty much, that sets you up for speed-shifting as well.
