There is a pretty decent price difference between the two of those. If you just want 10psi, then I say the Novi 1k will be the best bang for the buck. But the S-trim will have more potential. If you want over 500rwhp without adding a stroker too, go with the S-trim.

Best bang for the buck would definetly be the Novi but like FullAuto said, if you are trying to make 500+rwhp than go with the S trim. A better comparison would be the SC trim and the Novi considering both are 5-6 psi blowers. BTW, after talking to some people I am going to go with a Novi 1000 w/ a pulley upgrade that should put me around 8-10psi and considering you can get a brand new Novi 1000 for $1,600 I would say thats your best bet. Also, you upgrade without voiding the warranty and they are not as loud as Vortech's.
