i saw a mustang the other day and had the Gt 40 intake on it i was wondering if it was good or not???? and where u can get 1. i heard they dont make them anymore...

 

Both Jeg's And Summit Still sells them I think. They are a good intake all around.

The RPM range is from Idle to 5500, and then it starts to die off, But if your running a power adder then the RPM range dosen't matter.

They are a little pricey at $600.00 Were you could get a really trick intake for that price. If money is a consern than just go pull an intake off of a 95 up Explorer. They are the same thing as the Ford racing GT40, they just look uglier.

 

if i were 2 use the intake of the explorer wuld i use the lower intake manifold 2???

the Cobra/GT40/Exploder lowers are interchangeable

 

i think the flow numbers (real flow numbers...not advertised) are too close to make a diff.

BUT, the real GT40 intake is the best looking intake ever made.....hands down

 

unless you know what you're doing, stay away from the Exploder since it uses a different EGR system
