The nitrous is its own intercooler. The alcohol will raise the octane rating though. Havent seen it on anything but boosted cars.

I have it on my supercharged car. And as Bryan said above me, it's main purpose is to cool air intake temperatures so you can increase timing and make more power. I don't see it making anything cooler than the nitrous already does. I've never seen anyone run them on nitrous cars either. I don't think it would benefit you.
