H pipes have a lot deeper sound than the X pipe. The X pipe gives better performance but in my opinion still sounds good. BUT I think the H pipe sounds better.

I would NEVER put a H pipe on my Mach...besides the stock one of course! If you want to pass Emissions get the Magnaflow catted X pipe (has higher flow cats) and either the Magnapacks or regular Magnaflows (#15771). Like Dano said, it'll sound NASTY. Nice and deep. Needs to break in though. X-pipes like Digital said will give you better performance, H-pipes deliver a better sound.

If you're so worried about passing emissions then all you need to do one of two things.

If you don't have the "sniffer" tests in your area then just gut the catalytic converters.

Choice two is put on non gutted cats but use clams like they did on a Stang in MM&FF. From street legal to race ready in a few minutes.

If you really want to be different keep your stock dual exhaust and get two electronic cut outs for your exhaust.

Thanks steed, and digital, ill most likely do the X setup like what steed said. Im going to my buddy tuesday about the parts have him order it through his garage, and just do it ourselfs in a driveway.

It' a white 2004 5speed. I was looking for either Yellow or Blue. But I couldnt find anywhere i lived in NY, so I asked my dad and his friend at a NJ dealer had one left. So i just grabbed it. Pictures should be up really soon. I have to figure out how to upload from the digitial camera to the computer. But i dont even have the car in my driveway yet it got delayed but Im picking it up anyday now. I just had a wait a few days for them to prep it for pickup and i need a ride down there so gotta till Father off work.
