boost cooler
I've got a t-trim w/aftercooler making 20lbs. of boost. I believe that the core on the aftercooler is leaking, instead of getting it repaired I was thinking of going with methanol inj. alone. Will it be a good move or not ? Thanks.
a very good move. it will cool the air just as well if not better because your spraying fluid directly into the air stream. the meth kits work two fold, cold air, and higher octane.....although if your running 20psi your probably already on race fuel. ive read somewhere that methanol is similar to 110 octane as far as burn speed goes. not sure how true that is. if your running under 110 in the tank then the methanol will be like an octane booster. this will allow you to run more timing and/or more boost which results in of course, more hp
Justastockmustang, before the tb i think but not sure. check snowperformance. ive heard they make a kit specifically for KB superchargers
biglew, its not hard. you pull fuel from the injectors first to get the desired afr and then you add timing. i had a base tune (conservative tune to start from) set to me when i bought my pms so it only took me 3 runs on the dyno to tune the car to run on methanol

lucky's also some kind of a genius or has a nice desk job where he can read about cars all day long(this comment is in reference to tuning for meth), i took my car to be tuned by a local tuner here and he couldnt tune it for shi+ man i lost 10 hp from my meth so i unhooked it and am waiting till i can get in with my normal tuner who has a month waiting list i guess thats what happens when your impatient and let morons tune your car, but ive seen meth on several KB's and it does infact inject right before the TB
a guy i talk to online took his kit to his local tuner and he never tuned a meth kit before. he got no peak HP out of it, but it did bring the power on quicker. i got 50RWHP from my boost cooler.

i work at disneyland as a reciever (start at 4am and do a bunch of heavy lifting) but i fell off by goped in febuary and my doctor is keeping me off work. i found out the hard way i cant run 30mph[:@]sskiller is right, i have a lot of time on my hands. i get paid $371 a week to sit on my ***, read the forum, do my home work, and then go out at night. he can also vouch for my hp numbers too

99roushgt, too bad you dont live near me, id tune it for you. i have a pms tho so it makes it really easy. all i have to do is adjust fuel percentages and boost referenced timing curves
I'm not expecting a lot of additional power as much as trying to keep from pinging on some of this crappy gas. A couple of extra pounds of boost would be nice though! I just didn't know if it was wise to put this through the blower. On the KB manifold you would need a nozzle for each port to inject after the blower. I have even thought about using my old injectors, fired in parallel with the fuel injectors, to inject the water/meth in proportion to the fuel after a set boost level.
