Default need help for more boost and power.

I have an 02 mustang GT convertable.
performance Mods are:
fuel pump(i think)
basani h pipe catback exhaust
k&n filter (silencer is still on)
stiffer suspension
cobra brakes
Saleen Supercharger.
The previous owner had it dynoed at 327 hp/340 torque at the rear wheels.
I'm looking to get more boost out of my SC.
I have a saleen SC on my car (installed by previous owner.)
I'm not sure if it's series IV or series V
I have an autometer gauge that shows vac\boost
When the car is idle, it's at -20 psi (vac) it hits 0 psi around 3200 rpms
I get up to 8 or 9 psi boost but only at 5500 rpms.
The fuel pressure starts about 40 psi but stays around 60 psi after it's been
running for a while.
I want to know, can I add more boost (with a pulley) without running lean or braking anything?
Are there any relatively inexpensive mods I can do to get more power?
How much hp can the stock 5 speed transmission handle?
Anyone recommend a chip tuner (like the ones from diablosport)... to move up rpm and top speed limiters.
Please note that I need the car to pass PA inspection and emissions.
thanks for all the help,
FS

Default RE: need help for more boost and power.

I would be hesitant "upping the boost" without an Intercooler. 8-9 psi at around 5500 sounds about right. Anything past that and you could possibly even see a drop in your boost output.

I would also do some type of CAI to let the SC breathe. One thing you could possibly do is see if the car has ever been tuned. If not, there could be quite a few ponies waiting to be found.

As far as the stock tranny, I think I had seen somewher before that they were rated for up to 400 ft./lbs.

Just my 2 cents. Welcome to the board.

Oh, sorry.

I just seen the chip remark.

If the car has never been tuned,(I assume it has not if your asking about speed and rpm limiters) I would find someone reputable in your area and see what they use. Most will sale you a handheld unit with a tune loaded on it suitable for your application and will even dyno it once for you to check the new tune.

I would change the rear end gears to 3;73, add a performance intake, short throw shifter, programmer and drag radials, would be a real fast vert.
