Will the 4r70w tranny be reliable supercharged and on the bottle if it was upgraded? What options do I have out there for this motor? The car has to stay automatic.

 

the 4r70w is a great tranny for high hp cars because you can turn lock up off at the push of the button which means you can run high levels of torque through it at the track. then turn lock up back on and still get good miliage when you drive home.

upgrade the input shaft, new clutches (alt reds), not sure how big the OD band is or theservo but im putting an A++ servo and 2" OD band in my aod right now.

right now im building my aod to hold the hp of my new motor. my aod will be NON lock up, alt red clutches (the power pack), mechanical diode, A++ servo with 2" OD band, art carr valve body custom made for my car, and a one piece input shaft with c6 converter spline. lentech, art carr (art carr the man, not the company he sold, and my tanny builder all said that my aod will hold 700fwhp....which is good cause that leaves a small margin for error with my new motor
