Flowmasters will sound farty & tinny on a v6, dual exhaust or not. You absolutely want to stay away from baffled mufflers on a V6. Magnaflow/Magnapacks/SLP/Dynomax are the only mufflers you should even consider. They will still have a farty sound, but no tinny sound and cruising around it won't sound like a V6.

Stay away from glasspacks on a v6. My friend has em and i lie about how nice it sounds, but it really sounds like a piece, even worse than the moan from the civics...

Not really, I know someone with a 95 V6 and it sounds pretty cool at idle, he gets over 2,000 rpms and it sounds like a god damn 89 Cavalier Z24 with no muffler...awful.

well i have always been told that the 40 series sounds good with a good catback exhaust...maybe they were mistaken. What if i go with a magnaflow, SLP, MAC, borla, or bassani catback and maybe some BBK headers and still use the 40 series muffler. How do you think this would sound? any better than a flowmaster exhaust?

ok basically im asking what i should buy to make my 6 sound the best. i kno alot of you are prolly sayin o0o its just a 6 ur wastin time, but i liek the challenge. you dont see that many loud 6's and i wanted to be the one to have one of them. its rare that you see a nice 6 that also has some sound and power behind it too.

First, majority of people will say why will you ever put loud mufflers on a V6. If it weren't for V8's people would think it sounds good...but it just doesn't sound right.
Do a dual exhaust conversion, your choice of midpipe and stock GT mufflers. The stock GT mufflers are on par with Slowmasters and are much quieter. That's just my opinion. Your 6 is always going to sound like a 6'er and sound farty at higher rpms....
