Default Need help with turbo!!!

ok so the place that was doing my turbo is taking way tooooo long so i am going to finish up myself. i have an 04 gt. all the header side is made and welded. the turbo is a t66, the problem is, it has a 4 1/2 inch downpipe. i put on a tubular k member so this will fit. the turbo sits in front of the engine and radiator. where is the easiest route to run the down pipe? pics would be a huge help and once i get some i will post them. also how important is it to tune it before driving? isit ok to drive around a little before taking it in? thanks guys!

I really can't help you out with how to route the exhaust without any pictures of what you've got so far. Best advice I can give you is to try to find a spot that you can route it where it won't be touching anything important, then wrap the pipe if it's near anything.
Driveability will depend. If you have an a/f ratio gauge or egt gauge it would greatly help. It's safe to drive if you can get it to run somewhat rich, but there won't be nearly as much power until you get a tune. Dont drive it if you know it runs lean or even think there's a possibility. Get a tune as soon as possible.

I always take the pan off when I've done it.

lets see some pics of whats done so far when you pick it up. you could get 50 answers and none work on your car unless we see what you have.

make sure when you tap the oil pan you get out all the little shards of metal out of it, or else it will be devasting to your engine. takingit off sounds like it would be the best way to make sure you get them all out.
