Putting a blower on without any tuning is basically like installing a pair of lungs from a crosscountry runner but making you breathe through a straw. He probably will have some air/fuel problems, timing problems, possible detonation problems, people will laugh at him for driving an integra, and he is definetly not making the power he could be. Tuning is where its at! But like horatio said some forein cars bottom ends are bullet proof. I heard the Acura NSX's bottom end can handle 1,000 hp!!!

The Toyota/Lexus 3.0 inline six is another bulletproof engine capable of power in the 4 digit range quite easily.

6-8psi on a stock Honda bottom end might be just fine, as long as there are sufficient electronics and tuning. 6psi is more than I'd do on a N/A subaru block without building it.

They're still using the 3.8 for forced induction. It makes me wonder if it was originally designed with FI in mind, or if it just happens to be one of the carry-overs from the days of the seriously overbuilt stuff.

I run flat top no problem. blower piston with 8.5 that are built for the blower will burn nice and even across the pistons..but you can play with compression with heads and gaskets some
