this is probly really simple, but when Im filling my gas tank up, it gets to about 5.5 gallons then it starts overflowing onto the ground( from underneath the car, not the fill hole)

without drropping the tank again, i found a house on the passanger side that goes up to the filler cap and it was slid out quite a bit, so i slid it back in...didnt help though

My buddy thinks there is a hole/slice in the overflow line that is causing this, from when we dropped the tank and put the focus pump in.

but...while driving around, the gas "sprays out" from *** end, and I can almost watch the fuel gauge drop until 1/3 tank, then its back to normal.

could there be anything else, other than a possible break in any fuel lines?
