Default tuning car

i have a 96 mustang gt. i had a vortech v2 running 12psi. and ended up blowing a motor. i have an sct tuner and i put a new motor it without the supercharger and put the stock air meter and fuel injectors back in and returned the computer back to stock. it is still running very rich though. i dont really understand because the computer isstock and the stock injectors are on. the only thing is i have a bigger fuel pump but that should not affect anything. the only other thing i can think of is the mass air meter. canyou program the ACTUAL air meter or is everything on the computer? i cannot figure out why it would be running so rich. thanks.

It's your MAF. The one you have now is calibrated for the 42 lb injectors. You need to replace it with a stock one or reprogram your computer at the dyno. Why did you take the charger off? Why not just back the boost down to 10 lbs and ride?

If he was running a MAF that was calibrated for 42# injectors but he was actually using 19# injectors, then he'd be running lean, not rich. The MAF would be tricking the computer into thinking less air was getting into the engine thus resulting in a shorter pulsewidth. For 42# injectors, the shorter PW would be just right, but with smaller injectors, it would be starved for fuel.

Give it some time for the computer to relearn...that's normal. Also, double check your fuel pressure. If your larger pump is increasing your fuel pressure, then it's going to force more fuel through the injectors at any given PW.
