Default bypass valve

I have a Vortech V-1 on my car. the stock bypass valve vents back into the intake tube. My question is, will it hurt anything if i disconnect the tube that goes back into the intake and just let it vent into the air? I dont know the reason it goes back into the intake. Maybe so you dont hear it?

what if i get a different bypass valve? I was thinking about getting the vortech race valve. Does the have to vent back into the intake tube? Sorry if im asking some stupid questions, but this is my first supercharged car and im trying to learn about it as much as i can.

it vent back into the intake tract because the air was already metered by the maf , venting it into the air would cause a rich situation ,because its adding fuel to air that not there.
