im installing a bassani cat back on my 04 gt this weekend. i put the car on the ramp to see what i was dealing with and the pipe that loops over rear axle seems like a pain to get out. anyone done this kinda install before? will i have to saw this off or will it come off with enough twisting and pulling? thanks you guys

Jack the rear end up (Be sure to have the front wheels blocked properly) and support the car with jack stands.
Pull the rear wheels off.
Take the jack and place it under the shock mount and remove the lower shock bolt.
Use the jack to lower the drive train down just far enough so you can snake the exhaust out on that side. Install that new pipe while you've got the shock unmounted. Jack the shock mount back up until you can reattach the shock bolt. Do the same for the other side.

I just thought of the fact you'll also have to remove the quad shock mounting bolt too in order to get the axel to drop down far enough. Remove the bolt furthest to the rear of the car.
