Hey everyone, im 16 and have an 85 Gt w/ cfi and i need some exhaust help. I have done a lot of lokking around but im not sure what to get. I would like to got to true dual exhuast so i need the crossmember and hardware help here is needed. I dont want my exhuast to sound the gosh damn rice burners. i want a mean muscle car sound.Also would doin' these upgrades cause any prpblems w/ CFI.

This is what i have come up w/
-bbk eq headers
-bbk catted h-pipe
- magnaflow cat back pn#15632
ps this is my first car and i have about 1100$ plus or minus some to work w/
any suggestions welcome

 

you might want to go with an X pipe with the magnaflows. i personally like the sound of mac equeal length headers, mac off road H pipe and flow master american thunder cat back. but my car was far from stock so it sounded so much meaner. but if you want to stay legal you could get your bbk equeal length headers, bbk catted X pipe and magnaflows or even magna packs. that way you will have a great sound and some power also.

 

Just getting rid of the Y pipe in that car will make a huge sound difference. My first mustang was an 85 gt. In the late 80's, there weren't as many options for it, but I put an off road exhaust with an H pipe and 2 chamber flowmasters. It was loud and a lot faster.
