Thanks for all of the help on this board I have received I have gained so much knowledge in a matter of a few days. But I need some help. I was encouraged to get my mustang dyno tuned 4.6 liter with a vortech supercharger. I found a place locally that does it and he can get it in whenever I want. Here is the deal he told me he was familiar with the mustang and I told him my set up. He told me he would either flash it or rechip it. If he flashed it it would be 950 complete package if he rechipped it 750 complete package. He let me know that this would more then likely solve my CEL. My question is has anyone else heard of the rechip or flash. What is best to go with. He said the flash gave me three options and the car would be done in half a day.

If the Chip is only one tune...then go with the flash...the three options means this..

Tune One on 93 Octane

Tune 2 on 87 Octane

Tune 3 on 93 Octane and Methanol Injection should you ever add

I have a Chip but it has 4 tunes on it...I really never change it though..I would only change it if I could not find 93 Octane...basically the less Octane the less Timing you can run....

Too much timing...not enough Octane or fuel leads to Detonation....Detonation is BAD....

Those prices seem kind of high, but I am not sure...Mine was only $400 and that included the SCT 4 Bank Chip..

Thanks or the info that is a help. I did do the flash tuning plus it had stock gears in it had them replaced. Man the difference is like night and day in driving the car. IT does not even feel like the same car. Sounds like you got a good deal or I got ripped. Ha! I used this guy just because he was 15 minutes away and he does a ton of mustangs when I got there he had a ton of mustangs sitting out there and had two in the shop doing them. I priced the flash device and it is like 300 alone. I really appreciate all the help you have given me.
