How does the Mac Pro Chambers compare to off road h pipes and x pipes. A guy that works at the tire shop sold me his Mac Pro Chambers for $150 there practiclly new only a few hundred miles on them. 2 1/2" these will replace my stock hollowed cats h pipe. I am keeping the flowmasters on and replacing the tail pipe with 2 1/2' turn downs, i also have flowtech shortie headers i put on 2 weeks ago. So how will they compare i am guessing louder because i am increasing the pipe size a little.

 

it wont sound as deep as a h pipe. H pipes sound real deep. It will sound more "exotic" with a deeper tone than x pipes which is probably the best word i can use. And x pipes sound quiet but at wot its a different story. As far as horsepower claims - 1-2hp isnt worth your time, just go for the sound you want.

Not as deep/loud as a o/r H, but sound better than a o/r X IMO.

 

Thx for the replies Im waiting on the tailpipes i ordered, so i can put it all together. I installed an electric fan last weekend and underdrive pullies this weekend. I also ordered 4.10 gears and a different bracket so i can get rid of the A/C and smog pump. I'm just so anxious to put it all together.
