cheap turbo kit?
Many are incomplete if you read the fine print. Also they offer small & cheap turbos in most cases. I would also guess the welding may not be top notch on headers etc. Then again who knows, buy one and find out
most ebay turbos are pretty alright as long as you stay well within the boost boundaries and don't get too crazy with the stuff like pushing 20psi on one.. some do last with it , but not long.. few people i know have ebay setups that run quite well and have for a year or more. just have to be careful like i said.
they just seem too cheap compared to the big companies. I just dont want to get burned, but I cant justify $4000. for a good kit. Im thinking if I can get one complete for around $2000 that would be a good deal. I dont drive my car but 2500 miles a year at the most. I like to take it to the drags every once in a while thats about it.
look guys turbos are cheap as dirt - its just these companies that advertise alot who have these crazy marked up prices for their kits - if they cut their prices in half they would mulitply their volume 20 fold, however they are just too small to carry the costs associated with that. But the ebay kits for 5.0s are good and cheap, there reason its cheaper is the piping - 5.0s are alot less complicated... Im pretty disappointed in the aftermarkets' inablility to produce cheap turbo kits for mod motors
