Default MAF question

I just bought a novi 1000 that will be running 6psi and I will need to get either a BOV or a bypass valve and want to get a BOV. Someone told me if I run a BOV that I would need to get a blow thru MAF. Was wanting to know if I can just use the same MAF that I got with a BOV or will it mess up? and if it will where can I get the right MAF?

You can use the maf you have. You just have to mount it after the bov and you want to mount it on a good straight piece of pipe. Don't mount it right after a turn as the air will be distorted and cause problems. Your stock maf should handle 6 psi eaisily.

If you mount the MAF in the draw thru location and run a BOV the car will run crazy rich between shifts because the meter sees the air coming in and tells the computer to add the fuel for it, and then the air never makes it to the cylinders but the fuel will. If your getting the car tuned i suggest calling your tuner and asking them what MAF they like to tune with. That would have saved me a lot of money if i would have done that when i changed my MAF
