12 psi? You like to rebuild motors a lot? Or do you have access to a kick-*** dyno tuner?

If you don't on either or both accounts, 12 psi on a stock motor from any blower is not a smart move.

Bigger hassle? Let's see.......bolting on this s**t and tuning it or swaping out heads on an OHV set up.........neither's cake.

12 is alot of boost for a stock bottom end, but Iveheard ofpeople running 15 lbs boost on a stock 4.6 bottom end and not having any problems, since your intercooled with an Procharger you wont have any problem with detonation with a good tune, your problem would be worrying about breaking rods. Like I said earlier Im gonna be running 10 lbs boost with a non-intercooled vortech. Im not worried. 12 with and ATI wouldn't worry me either, but then again I can rebuild my motor if necessary for just the cost of parts, can you?

I am not planning on adding the supercharger anytime soon, I wanted to learn a lot more before doing any hardcore modifications.</P>

just put a vortech on it running around 6-8 pounds...put a nice set of alum heads and a nice cam and you'll be around what 12-14 psi will give ya...and there won't be any problems..run 15psi and invest on several sets of head gaskets...unless you o-ring the heads..then you sooner or later have a rod kick out...6-8 psi is all you need with out the over priced intercooler....
