Default Techincal Turbo help

Hey guys im just think about which specific turbo I would like to use, as far as I can tell i think a garrett or a precisson turbo is the way to go, master power is good, but I dont think they have the technology im looking for. Anyway Im thinking I want to get a 76 to an 88mm single turbo. My question is with the compressor a/r, Im thinking around a .8 is would be ideal in a smaller single turbo setup, some have said a .96 would be good. I want little to 0 lag and top power output of around 800 rwhp (pump gas only). Im wondering what mm turbo I would have to run to get the high end power I want and quick response and torque also (looking for full boost by 2500 rpm). anyway if you have tech advice or own a turbo car, please tell me what your running, its mm and compressor a/r, as well as when boost comes in and its power potential - thanks

I would call Garret directly and talk with them. They would be able to get even more specific when getting the turbo actually built for you. They can change pitch of the turbines, create a unit specific for you power level you are looking for and create a turbo with the proper inlet/outlet size for what you are looking for.

You are talking some serious $$$ to get a turbo car into the 800 hp range. I would talk with someone who has already done it and go from their experiences.

There are some 76 mm turbos that can handle 700-800 HP. An 88 might be a little big.

Go to Garrets website. They have them all listed in PDF there.
