Default Prochagrer PCV setup

I have a 2004 gt running a procharger, and am getting a lot of oil back into my intake. I am running an oil seperator but I think maybe my ****s hooked up wrong.

Right now its kooked up like this. The pcv valve (Pass valve cover) has a hose going into my intake elbow, right after the air filter. And the other tube coming out of my drivers valve cover is hooked up to my intake tube right before my throttle body.
Now looking at this common sense tells me that its hooked up wrong. It looks like under boost I am actually pushing more air into my crankcase (which is the opposite of what I want). I think I have it backwards guys.

Any input is much appreciated. Feel free to call me an idiot, cause I didn't notice this until now.

im not sure how different the 5.0 install is from the 4.6 as far as PCV routing wise but heres what came out of a fox body manual, just scroll down a few posts youll see a picture of it, another thing is with a blower setup you typically will get more blow by, causing higher crank case pressures, the only thing to stop this would be better piston rings I.E total seals, with total seals you can actually get 0-2% blow by which will also increase power, (but im having the same problem i have quite a bit of blow by doing everything i can to minimize it)

also on a side note i found a reason why my breathers are sucking up a little bit of oil, the valve covers on my motor werent fitted with any baffles, so im going to go ahead and try to find some Push-in style valve cover baffles which will hopefully stop the oil/smoking out of my breathers

yeah the way its hooked up doesnt even make sense. All thats going to do is get oil all over your TB and intake. And if your saying one is connected between the air filter and the blower itself that has to be the worst place to mount it, its just gonna blow oil all over the blower. I would eliminate the PCV all together just have either breathers in the covers or hook up the seperator off of your valve covers. Like you said you have to be pushing a decent amount of air into the crankcase especially after you let off the throttle

not only that hes going to be sucking un filtered oil into the compressor side of the procharger then into the combustion chamber..if im not mistaken on the way hes got it hooked up?

I'm not getting any oil into the throttle body, I was adjusting my intercooler piping the other day and noticed that there was a small amout of oil at the lowest point in the pipes (right before the intercooler). Most of the oil is being caught by the seperator, but a little is getting by and back into my intake tube. None so far has gotten anywhere near my tb. I knew something was jacked up.

I think its just reversed. If I switch the tubes then the drivers side valve cover will be pulling in clean air from right behind the air filter and the other tube will go to the PCV valve. But wouldn't the boosted air hold the PCV valve shut and not let it vent like its designed to?

edit: not to mention, I'm probably loosing a couple pound of boost[:@]

well PCVs have been know to let some boost through. Like i said before the worst part is the tube between the filter and the blower. Ididnt realize you had anintercooler so yes i wouldnt expect oil to make it to the TB. I would take the head unit off and take a look at it, having all that oil blown all over the compressor fins cannot be good

the air going passed the small tube will cause a low pressure area in theory pulling crank case pressure out of the vlave covers this same effect will hold(suck) the pcv open, if theres not a baffle in your valve cover your going to suck oil with this air, and like '91 said, putting any liquid on the compressor fins is bad since liquids cant be compressed

Do you have the Procharger owners manual? I can e-mail them to you if you need them.

I have the install instructions that came with my kit, but it doesn't go into any detail on how to hook up the PCV hoses. If you have some info, I'll be very interested. I just decided to run breathers for the time being until I find a better solution.
