if you want a deep throaty sound buy from borla, steed or american flowmaster, and dont take advice from these guys, cuz no one gives a striaght answer here, i asked the same questions when buying my exhuast and got some many different answers. Yes you can get an axleback without catbacks

I went the cheap route... All I did was cut out the old mufflers, replaced them with cherry bomb vortex (which are pretty much like flowmaster 2 chamber) and removed the silencers that are located just past the cats and welded a striaght pipe in line. The sound is very deep and loud outside with a little droning at about 2500 rpm's. The total cost was $260. I know they talk s*** about cherry bomb on here, but they are well built and painted to resist rust and have a great sound.

Hey I have a 1997 Mustang. Engine is a 3.8L V6. What would be the best type of exhaust to get with that size motor? I've been recommended the Mac Long tube headers with straight pipes.
