the easiest way to elimintate your cats is to just go buy an off-road h/x-pipe from JBA or something similar and run it from your stock exhaust manifolds and bolt straight into your mufflers. the only thing is that you will need to get a programmer (SCT works well) and have it programmed to shut off your O2 sensors or you will have a check engine light. also, without that tune, you will read a FAIL when you try to get it inspected.

Thanks... that's what I was just looking at..Like a offroad H pipe. Wasn't sure if I had to get the whole H just to take off the cats but it makes since. Do you think there will be a power gain from removing the cats or will the H pipe itself give me the power?

on the older stangs, the cats were pretty restrictive but on the 05's, they actually put hi-flo cats on stock. From what i have been told, on the older stangs, eliminating the cats and putting on an off road h-pipe will give you somewhere around 10-15HP...which really isnt bad for only 150-175 bucks.
